Native to relocate to new London site

Native restaurant in Neal's Yard will be closing this week with plans to relaunch elsewhere in London.

The foraging and game restaurant concept will close on 19 May due to planning issues, but plans to open a new site "very close" in "the very near future".

The restaurant posted on Twitter: "Today it has been confirmed that we have to leave our #NealsYard site in the very near future.

"Our last day is 19 May in Neal's Yard. But will be opening our new site very close after - will provide details ASAP!"

It said Camden Council "rejected" planning permission - an application to retain the site's use as a restaurant appears to have been withdrawn from the council's website.

Chef-patron Ivan Tisdall-Downes and business partner Imogen Davis opened Native in February 2016. The pair studied together at the University of Brighton before training at River Cottage and initially launching the concept as a pop-up in London.
