Mitchell Tonks takes over as FishWorks chief exec

TV chef and restaurateur Mitchell Tonks has taken over from Roy Morris as chief executive at fast-growing restaurant chain and fishmongers FishWorks.

Tonks, the former executive director and founder of FishWorks, will now be involved in the day-to-day running of the business. Morris assumes the role of executive chairman and will be in charge of FishWorks' development strategies.

The company re-shuffle follows the recent appointment of Ratnesh Bagdai as finance director.

These changes, which take effect immediately, are a result of the company's growth since its launch in 1994. Now it has 10 restaurants, a fish distribution business and a home delivery service.

Morris said: "We see these changes as a natural evolution in the FishWorks' story."
