Michele Caggianese leaves Estiatorio Milos after four months

Michele Caggianese has left his role as restaurant director of Estiatorio Milos in London, just four months after taking up the job.

Caggianese joined the upscale Greek restaurant, the new venue in London's St James's from international restaurateur Costas Spiliadis, in July this year ahead of its launch.

The restaurant confirmed that he left the post last week, although it is not know why he has moved on or what he plans to do next.

Italian-born Caggianese won the Hotel Restaurant Manager of the Year award at the Hotel Cateys 2012 and the Academy of Food and Wine Service's UK Restaurant Manager of the Year 2011 title.

Prior to taking up his role at Milos he was restaurant and bar manager of London's Jumeirah Carlton Tower hotel for five years, having previously worked as restaurant manager at Galvin at Windows in London between June 2007 and August 2010.

He declined to comment about his departure from Estiatorio Milos.
