Mediterranean-style Kitchenette to open first UK branch

A new Mediterranean-style café, bar and brasserie from TAG Restaurant Holdings is set to open in London's Putney this September.

Part of the Turkish d-ream group, the new 80-cover Kitchenette will be the chain's first site in London, adding to the 24 branches already running in Istanbul, Baku, Moscow, St Petersburg and beyond.

Aiming to provide a relaxing, cosy experience, Kitchenette will feature natural wood and homemade tiles, and offer a wide Mediterranean-inspired menu including pizza, pasta, salads, meat and fish.

Piero Sardano, managing director of the group adds: "We are thrilled to be bringing Kitchenette to London. We have had great success in other markets and I have no doubt that this latest outpost will quickly become a favourite with locals and visitors alike."

First launching in Turkey in 2005, the brand quickly expanded into Russia, Baku and Azerbaijan, before growing even further afield.

Parent company Doguş Restaurant Entertainment and Management, or d-ream, also owns Tom Aikens' Michelin-starred restaurant Istanbul Doors, and is reportedly keen to expand Kitchenette should it see success in Putney.
