Meat Liquor announce new London opening

Meat Liquor are set to open a new venture in Battersea, London, furthering their portfolio south of the river.

The new venture on Battersea's Northcote Road is set to open in mid-to-late September.

While Meat Liquor has previously operated a delivery-only service operation in the area through Deliveroo, the new location will provide them with their first bricks and mortar operation in the region.

Co-founder Scott Collins told The Caterer Meat Liquor had done "fabulously well out of one of [Deliveroo's] dark kitchens" but that the business model did not work for them without a physical customer base.

The site is their 12th opening since the chain started life as a burger van with a
Twitter account in 2009, and their ninth in London.

Expansion has previously bolstered the company's turnover - with parent company Meatalier posting a 20% boost for the year ended June 2017.

The new site, which was described by the group on Instagram as "small but perfectly formed", will neighbour pizza outlet Franco Manca's Battersea venue.
