Masala Zone adds two more

Masala World, creator of Indian haute cuisine, has secured two new London sites to expand its midmarket restaurant brand, Masala Zone.

The restaurants, a 100-cover property in Camden Town's Parkway and a 160-cover site in Floral Street, Covent Garden, are due to open next spring.

Ranjit Mathrani, chairman and co-director with Namita and Camellia Panjabi, said: "We are excited about these new sites, which will help to develop and reinforce our position in the midmarket Indian cuisine sector in London."

The acquisitions take the number of Masala Zones to five but the company admitted that it planned further London openings next year.
