Local buyers for coastal restaurant in Hampshire

First-time local operators Robbie and Louise Fowle have bought the Piccolo Mondo restaurant, an Italian/Mediterranean eaterie in Milford-on-Sea, Hampshire.

Milford-on-Sea is one of the few remaining coastal villages on the south coast and is just three miles from the Georgian town and yachting haven of Lymington in the heart of the New Forest.

The 38-seat restaurant occupies a character period property overlooking the village green in the village High Street. It comes complete with one-bedroom owners' accommodation and a private rear garden.

Previous owners Jonathan and Stacey Crouch have opted to focus on their new restaurant, Wisteria.

The Winchester office Christie + Co invited offers of around £125,000 for the leasehold on the Piccolo Mondo but eventually sold the freehold for an undisclosed sum.
