Living Ventures secures London site for new Botanist bar

Tim Bacon and Jeremy Roberts' Living Ventures is to open a new Botanist bar in St Paul's in London.

The move comes as the group continues to expand its New World Pub Company arm, which owns and operates the Botanist brand.

The new 4,935 sq ft site, at 89/91 Gresham Street, is due to open later this year following a deal brokered by property agency Shelley Sandzer.

The deal marks the gradual expansion of Living Ventures, which has its heartlands in the North West of England, into London.

Earlier this year at the Northern Restaurant and Bar Show, Bacon set out his plans to open an Alchemist bar adjacent to the Gherkin building in the City of London, as part of the 6 Bevis Marks development.

He also announced plans to grow the New World Pub Company to 15 sites, with openings in Manchester, Glasgow, Richmond, and possibly another in Manchester.
