Living Ventures partners with DisabledGo

Living Ventures is believed to be the first bar and restaurant operator to partner with DisabledGo to provide customers with accessibility information on its venues.

In order to offer the service, DisabledGo, a social enterprise, assessed all Living Ventures venues.

The guide, which is available on the DisabledGo.com website, covers everything from lighting levels to the number of accessible car parking spaces, provision of hearing loops and accessible toilets.

Jeremy Roberts, chief executive of Living Ventures said: "We are delighted to have formed this partnership with DisabledGo, we want as many people as possible to enjoy what we offer. Teaming up with DisabledGo means people with access requirements can visit our bars and restaurants with confidence and reassurance."

Anna Nelson, executive director at DisabledGo added: "We are thrilled to have worked with Living Ventures to produce comprehensive access guides to their restaurants and bars. Living Ventures offer customers a unique dining and drinking experience and we hope our partnership will open up these venues so more people can enjoy them. We hope other forward thinking organisations will follow their lead, recognising the breadth of accessibility requirements people have."

Founded in 1999 by Roberts and the late Tim Bacon, Living Ventures currently owns and operates 17 Gustos, five Blackhouses, 10 Alchemists, three Red Doors, as a number of individual outlets including Australasia, Grand Pacific, Artisan and Manchester House.
