Licensed operators buy Guardbridge hotel in Fife

Experienced licensed operators Kenny McEwan and James Lindsey have bought the Guardbridge hotel, restaurant and bar in Fife.

The B-listed property, which dates back to 1847, occupies an acre of land on the banks of the River Eden in Guardbridge, which is near St Andrews.

The business comprises a public bar, a 32-seat restaurant, three letting bedrooms, two-bedroom owners' accommodation, a patio smoking area, two car parks, and a large lawn garden with a wooded copse.

The Edinburgh office of Christie + Co was seeking offers of £350,000 for the freehold on behalf of Forbes and Sheila Terris, who are retiring.
