A look at the latest restaurants, hotels, pubs and bars to open their doors.
Killiecrankie House
One of Perthshire's most prestigious country house hotels has reopened as a boutique restaurant with rooms, under new owners.
Killiecrankie House, which was built in 1840 and sits within four acres of woodland in the Cairngorms National Park, has been taken on by Leiths-trained chef Tom Tsappis and his sommelier wife Matilda, who previously ran the Elia London Greek fine dining supper club.
The pair have turned the venue into a ‘food-lovers' retreat', with Tom serving an £85 tasting menu in the 18-cover open restaurant kitchen. Dishes showcase homegrown and foraged produce, drawing inspiration from modern and heritage Scottish dishes. Matilda oversees front of house and has created a £65 drinks pairing menu, featuring beer, sake, cocktails and wine from her family vineyard.
The venue also features a drawing room and cocktail bar, and guests can stay overnight in one of four bedrooms.
