Jimmy Garcia to open the BBQ Club on London's Southbank

Jimmy Garcia is to open the BBQ Club on London's Southbank in May.

The restaurant will include a walk-up BBQ Bar showcasing gourmet dishes straight from the grill, while the second floor will give diners a BBQ Club rooftop dining experience, serving an ever-evolving six course tasting menu.

The BBQ Bar menu will range from hand-dived Dorset scallops and locally foraged sorrel to artisan chorizos imported directly from Garcia's Dad's hometown of Asturias, Spain. The dishes will be all priced £10 and under.

The six course BBQ Club tasting menu (£45) will encourage guests to baste and grill dishes alongside their chef on their own BBQ built into the table. The menu includes: ‘the Queenie Flower', a hand-dived Dorset scallop served with coal-baked cauliflower, hazelnut crumb and pickled red onion petals or ‘Baa Baa Broccoli', a succulent lamb cutlet served with salsa verde, charred tenderstem broccoli and Sicilian anchovies.

In the evening, diners will be able to toast marshmallows at the table.

The five-month pop up follows a sell-out BBQ Club in 2016.
