Jason McAuliffe to become Galvin Bistrot de Luxe GM

Jason McAuliffe is to join Galvin Bistrot de Luxe as general manager.

McAuliffe, who has 25 years' experience in the industry, joins the Galvins from the Grill Room at the Dorchester hotel, where he spent five years as head sommelier.

He also spent a decade at the Michelin-starred Chez Bruce in south London, during which time he developed the restaurant's now internationally-renowned wine list.

Bistrot de Luxe, located on Baker Street, was Chris and Jeff Galvin's first solo venture and will celebrate its fifth birthday this September.

"We are all thrilled that Jason is at the Bistrot, it is very much the style of restaurant that perfectly suits his character and abilities and he is already bringing a great deal of charisma and hospitality to the restaurant," said Chris Galvin, who heads up the kitchen brigade at the Bistrot.
