Italian café La Bottega to open seventh site, in London's Seven Dials
Italian café, bar and deli La Bottega is to open a new site in London's Seven Dials this May.
The 789 sq ft venue on Monmouth Street, near Covent Garden, will be the seventh site for the London-based company, whose venues already include St James's, Belgravia, and South Kensington.
It will be the first to showcase a new direction and look for the brand, which La Bottega has said will include the use of higher-quality produce and introduction of better service.
The site will join other well-known food and drink venues in the area, including Marcus Wareing's soon-to-open restaurant Tredwell's; Timberyard; the Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels; Asian restaurant Flesh & Buns; and Russell Norman's Ape & Bird pub.
Chief executive of La Bottega, Piergiorgio Lo Greco, said that the Seven Dials area had a village feel, but retained a city-centre cosmopolitan vibrancy. He added: "It is the perfect location in which to launch La Bottega's exciting new course."
Charles Owen, Seven Dials portfolio manager at legal firm Shaftesbury, who ran the deal, added: "La Bottega is a great new addition to Seven Dials' already strong mix of international cafés, bars and restaurants and will compliment [its] unique retail offer."
