Hunter 486 appoints Gary Durrant as new head chef

Hunter 486, the restaurant within the five-star the Arch hotel in London, has appointed Gary Durrant as its new head chef.

Durrant spent the first 10 years of his career working at the Savoy, before moving on to work in several Michelin-starred kitchens in both France and London.

His most recent position was at the Brompton bar and grill in Knightsbridge, where he spent 11 years as head chef.

He was also awarded a silver medal for afternoon tea pastries at Le Salon Culinaire International De Londres.

He plans to create modern, light food at Hunter 486 in Marble Arch, which interprets the refined methods of classical French cooking in a contemporary way.
