Hull restaurant 1884 Dock Street Kitchen fined over waste disposal

Hull restaurant 1884 Dock Street Kitchen has been fined after failing to dispose of waste properly.

The acclaimed restaurant was taken to court by Hull City Council for failing to provide an adequate number of bins and failing to prevent rubbish escaping.

Restaurant owner Headstart Retail was ordered by Hull Magistrates' Court last week to pay fines of £650 and costs of £550. Headstart admitted both offences.

Hull City Council told The Caterer it decided to take the business to court after it failed to comply with warning notices.
