High street sous vide cooking group Suchef to open two more sites
Newly opened restaurant business Suchef, which aims to bring sous vide cooking to the high street, is set to open two more London sites this year.
Suchef opened its first site in London's St Paul's at 5 Dean's Court on 28 July.
The concept was founded by Suchef managing director Anastasia Danilova, while the menu has been designed by Bernhard Engelhardt and nutritional therapist Charlotte Watts. The business uses contemporary sous vide cooking techniques to seal in flavour without damaging the "nutritional element of the food".
Customers can choose from a sous vide cooked main item such as skinless chicken breast or plaice and salmon roulade, and then select a side (with options including fresh egg pasta or brown rice), and a sauce (such as mango and chilli salsa or spicy tomato).
The average price of meals is between £6 and £9. Following the first opening, a second site is expected to launch in Farringdon (91 Cowcross Street) in mid-September, with a third coming to Aldgate (18d Mansell Street) in late 2014.
