Here it is - Naples slang

Messrs McDonald and Ford have launched Obika - nice name, purporting to be the Italian translation for "here it is." Is it? "Eccolo qua" is the correct translation. Is this another case of "Spaghetti alla Bolognese", unknown in Italy?

  • Not quite. While it isn't strictly Italian, "Obika" is, we're told, slang for "here it is!" in Naples - Ed
