Haché to open second site
North London gourmet burger restaurant Haché is to open a second site in south-west London this month.
The family-run business, whose first outlet opened in Camden at the end of 2004, is to expand to Fulham with a new 80-cover restaurant on Fulham Road.
The restaurant specialises in gourmet burgers but unlike its competitors such as Gourmet Burger Kitchen and Fine Burger Company includes a bar and waiting staff.
Haché co-owner Sue Casey said it took the company some time to find a venue for its second restaurant and added that the new site will be identical to the first in terms of its menu and interiors.
"We're really excited to be opening our second site but at this stage have no further plans for expansion," she said.
The name Haché is derived from the French word meaning to chop and the restaurant specialises in this traditional technique of preparing burgers. The Fulham restaurant will be run by Casey's daughter.
