Gowrings sells repair centres to focus on Burger King

UK Burger King franchisee Gowrings has sold its accident repair centres business to give it space to focus on its restaurant operations.

The company said today it had sold the business for just more than £658,000 as the final step in withdrawing from that market completely.

The accident repairs business has for some time been operating as a financial drag on Gowrings, and last year made an operating loss of £260,000.
