Gordon Ramsay to close his central production kitchen
Gordon Ramsay Holdings ](http://www.caterersearch.com/A-Z/CompaniesLanding/224/2451/Page1.htm)(GRH) is to close its central production kitchen, GR Logistics, Caterersearch has learnt.
The celebrity chef's company originally bought the site in Wandsworth, south London, from Albert Roux who operated it as the House of Albert Roux. GRH has been using the facilities to pre-prepare meals sold at its Foxtrot Oscar restaurant and three London gastropubs.
The announcement to shut GR Logistics comes just a week after the closure of the Devonshire in Chiswick, west London, which is to be sold.
A spokeswoman for GRH confirmed that GR Logistics would cease to trade.
"GR Logistics is a catering production company which will close at the end of July following a review of its services," she said.
Last year, Ramsay came under fire from the Sun newspaper for serving pre-prepared food from GR Logistics in its Foxtrot Oscar restaurant and three London gastropubs with mark-ups of up to 586%.
However, Ramsay defended the policy saying it was a "Gordon Ramsay kitchen run by Gordon Ramsay chefs cooking Gordon Ramsay food".
