Gondola Holdings to float

Pizza Express is set to re-float on the London Stock Market.

Owner Gondola Holdings, which also runs the Zizzi and Ask brands, has appointed former Carphone Warehouse deputy chairman David Ross as chairman to over see the process.

The move is expected to value the 497-site group at about £800m.

After nine years on the stock market Pizza Express was bought by TDR Capital and Capricorn Ventures International (owner of the Nando's fried chicken chain) in 2002.

Gondola employs 10,000 people and serves approximately 30 million meals across its restaurant brands.
