Giggling Squid opens in Brentwood

Thai restaurant brand Giggling Squid has opened its 22nd venue in Brentwood, Essex.

The 100-cover Giggling Squid Brentwood will offer bar-style seating in the centre of the restaurant. The site will serve lunch and dinner. Menu items include a varied selection of seafood, curries, stir fries, meat dishes, rice and noodles.

It also features a new children's menu called Little Tapas for Little People, which offers two dishes of smaller versions of Giggling Squid favourites including pork dumplings and pad Thai for £5.95.

The restaurant will have a floral theme and feature handwoven branches and trellis on the walls, driftwood artwork handmade by co-founder Pranee Laurillard and hanging baskets on the ceiling.

The chain is owned by Pranee Laurillard and her husband Andrew. The first site opened in 2009.

Giggling Squid operates 21 venues across the UK in Brighton, Hove, Tunbridge Wells, Henley-on-Thames, Reigate, Stratford-upon-Avon, Marlow, Horsham, Sevenoaks, Salisbury, Bristol, Guildford, Billericay, Esher, Bury St Edmunds, Berkhamsted, Norwich, Warwick, Wokingham, Farnham, and now Brentwood.
