Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs cook up a storm ahead of Café Football opening

Former Manchester United teammates Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs swapped the pitch for pans when they took part in a cook-off ahead of opening their new restaurant, Café Football.

They joined the restaurant's executive chef, Brendan Fyldes, and creative director, two-Michelin-starred chef, Michael Wignall to showcase the food which will be served at the 140-seat restaurant when it opens in Westfield Stratford City, London, in December.

Dishes they served up include more than a passing reference to football - Nev's Noodle Pot, Wignall's Halftime Orange and the Chocolate Pistachio Turf.

Giggs added: "It was great to see just how much excitement and buzz there is surrounding the opening of Café Football. We can't wait to officially open the doors and welcome customers in."
