Former Greene King boss appointed CEO of Stonegate Pub Company

Stonegate Pub Company has appointed former Greene King boss Simon Longbottom as its new chief executive.

His appointment follows the announcement earlier this week of the departure of Toby Smith, who will has agreed to work with Longbottom to ensure a smooth handover of the business.

Longbottom was previously managing director of Pub Partners at Greene King, and has also held senior positions at M&B and Mill House Inns. He will take up the new position at Stonegate "on a date to be agreed".
