Footballer Jamie Carragher set to open Liverpool brasserie

Former Liverpool footballer Jamie Carragher is set to launch a new brasserie in shopping centre Liverpool One.

The new 200-seat venue will be called Moments, and is being launched in a joint venture with City Life Project.

It is set to open on 22 July and will specialise in coffee, cocktails and high-quality lunches, according to the Liverpool Daily Post. It will replace the current Cafe Sports Express bar-restaurant.

Paul Flanagan, managing director of City Life Project's parent company, The Flanagan Group, said: "I think it will appeal to Liverpool's glamorous women and fashion conscious personalities as well as the many thousands of visitors the city continues to attract every year."
