Fire damage will keep Pied … Terre closed for months

Michelin-starred London restaurant Pied … Terre has been forced to shut after a major fire at the weekend (14 November).

The third floor and roof of the Charlotte Street property have been destroyed by fire, and the premises has suffered major water damage.

Owners David Moore and Shane Osborne have closed the restaurant for a complete refurbishment and vowed to reopen it as soon as possible, but it is predicted the restaurant will remain shut until the middle of 2005.

Osborne said: "I am devastated. This is a major blow to us, but Pied … Terre has been going strong for over 12 years, and no fire is going to stop us going from strength to strength."
