Family behind Soho Joe opens Cookhouse Joe

The family behind London restaurant Soho Joe has opened a new venture, Cookhouse Joe, in Dean Street.

Soho Joe was opened at 55 Berwick Street in 2013 by the McCaffney family, and the new site at 33 Dean Street will be in a similar style to the original, offering rotisserie chicken, rustic styling and a contemporary approach to traditional Lebanese food.

Dishes on the menu, all of which are made in-house, include lamb kofte, crisp falafel, and free-range rotisserie chicken paired with fries and salads.

To celebrate the launch of the new Dean Street site this week (2 June), Cookhouse Joe gave away 1,000 chicken wraps from noon to customers that visited the new restaurant, as well as welcoming donations for the Open House charity based in Soho Square.

The McCaffney family is thought to be planning further expansion for the Cookhouse Joe brand soon.
