Ed's Easy Diner to open seventh site, in Cardiff
Casual-dining chain Ed's Easy Diner is set to open its seventh site, in Cardiff this September.
The 70-cover new opening, which will mark the company's first venture outside the South East, is to be situated in the city's St David's Shopping Centre, and will feature the group's trademark 1950s interiors and American diner-style menu.
The first Ed's Easy Diner opened in London's Soho 25 years ago, and since then the company has added further sites in Euston, Mayfair and Piccadilly, as well as shopping centres Bluewater and Lakeside, in Kent and Essex respectively.
Andrew Guy, operations director of Ed's Easy Diner said: "We are delighted to be opening in Cardiff's magnificent St David's Shopping Centre, our first diner in Wales and outside the south east of England. The city's already burgeoning culinary scene and an ever-increasing public demand for a quality fast-casual dining experience, means this is an exciting task and a challenge we both relish and respect."
