Dub Jam jerk shack set to open in Covent Garden

Dub Jam jerk barbecue and rum shack is set to open this month in Covent Garden.

Serving jerk chicken and pork, the shack will also pump out Trojan Records classics from the likes of King Tubby, Jimmy Cliff and Bob Marley.

Aimed at bringing a beach party atmosphere to Covent Garden, Dub Jam will be designed with lights made from reclaimed buoys and tin-cans, stools made from beer kegs and car wheels, a shelf bar made from half a surfboard and a cake display made from an old record-player.

The menu includes dishes such as Soul Rebel Skewers, which are are marinated in the kitchen's own jerk recipes and smoked overnight being grilled on the barbecue. It will also include a Beach Burger, served in flatbread pockets.

Drinks at the bar will include Red Stripe and Carib Beer, alongside the signature rum punch.
