Domino's sales continue to grow

Dominos, the pizza delivery company, saw sales jump in the previous quarter.

System sales, the total number of orders during the period, were up 18.9% from £58.9m in 2005 to £70m.

Like-for-like sales, which outstrip new store openings, were up 8.8% on last year.

Stephen Hemsley Domino's chief executive said: "We are encouraged by the good start to 2006 and look forward to the positive impact from this year's World Cup."

The company has opened 12 new stores in this quarter and is on track to reach its target of 50 store openings during the year.
