Dim sum launch for Kurt Zdesar

Former Nobu general manager Kurt Zdesar is poised to open a dim sum restaurant on London's Great Marlborough Street this spring.

Zdesar acquired the leasehold on the 5,000sq ft site through his company the Ping Pong Group.

The new venue is expected to open in May and will seat about 220 people with spend averaging about £10 for lunch and £18 for dinner with wine.

David Abramson, of property agent Davis Coffer Lyons, which acted for landlords Apperly Estates, said: "Kurt's name is one to watch over the coming year. I have no doubt he will become a key player on the London scene."
