De Fazio plans steakhouse

Restaurateur Raymond de Fazio is to open a new steakhouse in the City of London in January.

De Fazio said the 70-cover restaurant and wine bar in Farringdon would offer a "traditional steakhouse menu with integrity" and serve dishes like Caesar salad and steak tartare prepared at the table.

David Wilson, formerly of ex-Haymarket restaurant Osia, will oversee front-of-house operations and a chef will be named shortly. Average spend is expected to be about £30.

De Fazio's latest opening, the Pacific Bar & Grill in Notting Hill, opened six weeks ago. "It's going like a train," he added.
