Corbin & King in advanced discussions to open Soho restaurant

Corbin & King has confirmed it is in advanced discussions to open a new 284-cover restaurant in Soho.

The restaurant group plans to open the restaurant, described in planning documents as a "Parisian café-restaurant/brasserie", in 1-8 Bateman's Buildings, just off London's Soho Square.

Planning permission had been approved for two separate restaurants, but Corbin & King is seeking approval to open one, stretching across the basement, ground and first floors of the site.

The restaurant would include a 44-cover outdoor seating area and waiting bar.

Corbin & King operates the Wolseley, Colbert, Brasserie Zédel, the Delauney, Fischer's and Bellanger - all in London. It plans to open a new neighbourhood restaurant, Soutine, in St John's Wood in April.
