Claire Clark to run pop-up patisserie at Harvey Nichols London

Acclaimed pastry chef Claire Clark is to run a pop-up patisserie at London department store Harvey Nichols for two months.

Clark, a two-time winner of The Craft Guild of Chefs' Pastry Chef of the Year award, will run her mini patisserie on the fifth floor of the Knightsbridge store from 13 September to 13 November.

She will offer a range of pastries inspired by childhood favourites including Jaffa cake macaroons, fizzy strawberry marshmallows, toffee bark with salty pecans and mint rocky road. Traditional loaf cakes including orange, pistachio and semolina cake, and rhubarb and spelt cake will be available in smaller sizes.

Clark, who was previously executive pastry chef at Thomas Keller's three-Michelin starred French Laundry in Napa Valley, California, will also create a special afternoon tea offer. Celebrating cities including London, Paris, New York and Milan, it will include a range of sandwiches, scones and special cakes.

Clark, a former head pastry chef at Claridge's and The Wolseley, most recently worked as a consultant at Barbados luxury resort Sandy Lane.
