Charity event at Galvin Bistrot de Luxe raises £12,000
An evening at Galvin Bistrot de Luxe has raised £12,000 for Hospitality Action, the industry's benevolent organisation.
More than 80 guests attended the event, which began with a Champagne reception, followed by a five-course meal prepared by the Michelin-starred brothers, Chris and Jeff Galvin.
Penny Moore, chief executive of Hospitality Action, said: "It was the perfect way to celebrate some of the best talent in the industry, whilst highlighting the importance of our work and raising vital funds for those in most need of our help."
Galvin Bistrot de Luxe won the 2006 Catey Newcomer of the Year. It also won the newcomer prize in the Tatler Restaurant Awards and the Michelin BIB Gourmand.
