Canteen opens second site at Royal Festival Hall

British restaurant Canteen is to launch a second eatery at the revamped Royal Festival Hall at London's South Bank, set to open in June this year.

The new restaurant will be an informal 260-cover eatery offering booth seating, communal tables and a covered and heated outdoor area as well as a bar focusing on British beers.

Like it's sister restaurant in Spitafields in East London, the new Canteen will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner serving a menu of classic British food at reasonable prices.

Canteen was recently named the UK's best restaurant in the Observer Food Monthly's annual restaurant awards.
