Breakfast Club owner buys second site in Camden

Alison Rooney, owner of the Breakfast Club café and deli in London's Soho area, has bought the Trattoria Aquilino Italian restaurant in Camden Passage, North London.

The 60-seat ground floor restaurant, which is sited on the corner of Camden Passage and Charlton Place next to the antiques and book market, has been under the same ownership for the past 30 years.

Rooney (who bought her Soho venue through Christie + Co last year) intends to reopen the restaurant in January as the Breakfast Club, Angel.

The London office of Christie + Co handled the assignment of a new 20-year lease on the property from proprietor Francesca Consigli off an asking price of £125,000.
