Bodean's owner takes on eighth property
Michael Nicholas, owner of the Bodean's ](http://www.bodeansbbq.com/)barbeque restaurants has bought a 20-year lease for the Pub On The Park in Hackney.
It takes the number of pubs and restaurants which Nicholas operates to eight, including the Enterprise and Monarch pubs in Camden, as well as the five Bodean's outlets.
The Pub On The Park sits on the edge of London Fields and has a 2,300 sq ft decked terrace that overlooks the park.
Nicholas took on the lease from freeholders Brendan and Ann McDonald, who have owned the pub for 20 years. The deal was brokered by leisure agents [Davis Coffer Lyons ](http://www.daviscofferlyons.co.uk/)(DCL).
He plans to make just a small number of changes to the venue including the introduction of a different food menu with all dishes under £10.
Chris Bickle of DCL says: "There was a great deal of interest from a wide range of operators which resulted in a Best and Final
bids process. The attraction here is not just the free of tie element but also the huge potential to increase sales."
