Beckett and Gott to open third Hawksmoor site

Restaurateurs Will Beckett and Huw Gott are set to open their third Hawksmoor steak restaurant and cocktail bar this autumn, having signed a lease on a new site on Basinghall Street in the City of London.

The new site, which will open in October, has 160 covers in the restaurant, 75 in the bar and a private dining room seating 22.

The interior will be overseen by Macaulay Sinclair, the interior architects that designed the interior of Hawksmoor Seven Dials, and will reflect some of the heritage and traditions of the City. There will also be a walk-in wine room big enough to conduct tastings of the much-extended list of wines by the glass and London's first dedicated port enomatic preservation system with a range of fine ports available by the glass

Hawksmoor's executive chef Richard Turner will be in charge of the new kitchen and promises several new dishes alongside the famous steaks, burger and chips.

The original Hawksmoor Spitalfields opened on Commercial Street in 2006 and Hawksmoor Seven Dials on Langley Street followed in November 2010.
