Ashley Levette buys Anchor Inn

After 28 years in the hands of the same family, the Anchor Inn, a food-led freehouse in the village of Lower Froyle, Hampshire, has sold from an asking price of £750,000.

New owner, Ashley Levette, is a former director of the Hotel du Vin chain of boutique hotels. Levette has closed the pub in order to carry out a major refurbishment programme, which will include the conversion and extension of the double garage to provide five en-suite letting rooms.

The pub comprises two bars; a principle restaurant and overflow restaurant area, with capacity for 104 customers; three-bedroom owner's accommodation; trade and private gardens; car park and paddock. The agent was Christie and Co.
