A look at the latest restaurants, hotels, pubs and bars to open their doors.

Selina Brighton

Latin-American hotel brand Selina has opened its third property in Brighton, offering sea views, a beachfront restaurant and a bar serving sourdough pizzas.

Room categories include lofts, suites and family rooms that accommodate up to four, standard and micro-sized double rooms, with a further 19 bedrooms opening next year, including shared community rooms for up to six guests.

The Old Pier will serve dishes including sourdough focaccia with whipped burrata and fermented honey, Mexican-style cactus salad, and mac'n'cheese croquettes with truffle mayo, as well as pizzas and breakfast and brunch options. Over the coming months, the venue will also expand the menu to include salmon poke bowls, Bajan-style fish tacos and beef and vegan burgers.

The lobby area also has a grab-and-go coffee shop and retail space. A co-working space will also be launched, with artwork created and curated by local artist Amy Isles Freeman.

Toad on the Road

Frog by Adam Handling in London's Covent Garden has created a pop-up on Southampton Street, offering dishes using offcuts from the restaurant's tasting menu. Cocktails from St Germain liqueur brand and Eve bar are served on the terrace, including a coffee negroni using leftover coffee grounds steeped in gin.

The Derby Market Place

Themed attraction and experience design company Katapult has created an alfresco dining destination in Derby, running until the end of September. Guests can order food from any local restaurant, such as the Plant Café, Nando's, the Tap and more, to be delivered to bookable chalets and outdoor tables. Drinks are provided by the Derby Brewing Company.

The Hawk's Nest

An alfresco street food space has opened in London's Shepherd's Bush. Housed in a converted railway arch, guests enter through a birds' nest installation. The venue is the first from Bird House London, run by Wil Fuller of Soho House Group and Frazer Timmerman of Incipio Group, behind Pergola Paddington.

Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill

The latest Marco Pierre White Steakhouse, Bar & Grill has opened in Swansea, overlooking the city's waterside, featuring external dining space and a private dining area with a terrace. Design reflects the building's industrial heritage, with criss-crossed steel beams, exposed brickwork and concrete ceilings.

Neat Burger Camden Market

The UK's second Neat Burger has opened in Camden Market. The 500 sq ft site features green and pink furnishings, as well as takeaway and delivery. The sustainable, plant-based burger chain is backed by six-time FIA Formula One World Champion, Lewis Hamilton.

Italicus Aperitivo Garden

Italian aperitivo brand Italicus has taken over the garden at the Coral Room, at the Doyle Collection's Bloomsbury hotel in London. Running to at least the end of September, the menu features five cocktails, a variety of spritz options, and a negroni. For the duration of the takeover, there is also a local cocktail delivery service.
