A look at the latest restaurants, hotels, pubs and bars to open their doors.

The Double Red Duke

Husband and wife team Sam and Georgie Pearman have opened a third venue in their Country Creatures hotel and restaurant group. The Double Red Duke is a 17th-century coaching inn in the Cotswold village of Clanfield, near Bampton. It features 19 individually designed bedrooms with roll-top baths, and two large, pet-friendly family rooms on the ground floor.

Richard Turner, founder of Hawksmoor and Meatopia, has collaborated with head chef Richard Sandiford on the restaurant, which focuses on open-fire cooking using seasonal British produce. Guests can enjoy large cuts of meat and whole fish dishes to share, and Sunday lunches are served with duck fat potatoes, braised carrots, spring greens and gravy.

The Country Creatures family of pubs and inns in the Cotswolds includes the Chequers in Churchill and the Swan in Ascott-under-Wychwood.
