Ex-rugby star and Celebrity MasterChef winner Matt Dawson has launched Sodexo's new recipe range, Be Part of It.
The Sodexo ambassador for health and wellbeing teamed up with the caterer's head of dietetics Wan Mak, executive development chef Alan Shipman and Sarah O'Leary from central marketing to create the new range, which aims to encourage balanced diets and healthy eating.
The recipes focus on wellness and nutrition and use ingredients based on Sodexo Healthwise principles that aim to reduce the levels of fat, salt and sugar in food. They use herbs and spices in place of salt for flavour; replace butter and vegetable oil with olive or rapeseed oil; and add more fresh fruit to desserts to help achieve the Government's recommended ‘5 a Day'.
Dawson will make personal appearances at various client locations including education, defence and B&I sites, to promote the new range.
After working with Dawson, O'Leary said: "Matt clearly sees his future linked to food in some way; his ideas are endless and his enthusiasm and energy to spread the word about great, healthier food across Sodexo is limitless."
Mak added: "We have been fortunate enough to work alongside Matt and what better way to raise awareness of health and wellbeing than through someone who has the same passion for food and nutrition as we do."
