York buyers for five-diamond Hereford B&B

Bill Pitts and Rosie Blanksby, the former operators of a guesthouse in York, are the new owners of the five-diamond Somerville House B&B in the centre of the cathedral city of Hereford.

The detached Victorian property, which is a short walk from the city centre, has been designed as a boutique-style guesthouse.

It offers 12 en-suite bedrooms to sleep 23, a residents' lounge, a 20-seat breakfast room, and lower ground-floor owners'accommodation that includes a bedroom, sitting room, kitchen, conservatory, and laundry room.

Outside, there are parking spaces for 10 cars to the front and a private garden with fruit trees, summer house, and patio to the rear.

The Cirencester office of Colliers Robert Barry sold the freehold off a guide price of £875,000, agreeing a sale within two weeks of marketing the property.
