The Dorchester Collection has boosted its global team with the announcement of two senior managerial appointments.

Philipp Henle has joined the 10-strong luxury hotel group as head of global developments, from Kempinski Hotels, where he spent the last two years as vice president development Europe. Meanwhile, Michael Suter has been appointed vice-president finance, having been vice-president finance for Middle East, Africa and Southern Asia with the Jumeriah Group since 2014.

A graduate in international hospitality management from the École Hôtelière de Lausanne, Henle spent a total of seven years at Kempinski, having earlier worked at Golden Tulip Hospitality Group as a business development executive and HVS International as a consulting and valuation analyst.

He said: "I look forward to growing and developing the brand through targeted ownership and management agreement opportunities in key global gateway cities that are in with Dorchester Collection's strategy, whilst continuing to build a luxury portfolio of hotels that honour individuality and heritage, excellence and innovation."

Prior to joining the Jumeriah Group, Suter, who has a degree in business administration from the University of Denver, worked for 26 years with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. Starting as an assistant controller at the former Four Seasons Clift Hotel in San Francisco, he went on to work for the group in Beverly Hills, Bangkok, and Bali, as well as at the company's corporate office as director of residential finances.

Suter said he was "delighted to join such an iconic brand and to be part of Dorchester Collection's senior leadership team".

Christopher Cowdray, chief executive officer of Dorchester Collection, added that Henle brings "valuable experience to Dorchester Collection as the company continues its development strategy, with the vision of becoming the ultimate hotel management company", and described Suter as someone with "tremendous expertise, experience and energy".

The Dorchester Collection's portfolio includes the Dorchester and 45 Park Lane in London, and Coworth Park in Ascot, Berkshire, as well as seven hotels overseas in Paris, Milan, Rome, Geneva, Beverly Hill and Los Angeles.
