Two Cotswolds hotels go into administration
Two of the Cotswolds' leading historic hotels - the Grapevine and the Royalist (pictured) in Stow-on-the-Wold - are to be sold after their parent company collapsed into administration.
The Concept Hotel Group is currently being operated by Convivial Management Solutions on behalf of the administrators, Moorfields Coporate Recovery.
The company was set up in 2003 by Mark and Janine Vance in 2003 when they acquired the 22-bedroom Grapevine. They added the 14-bedroom Royalist hotels, four years later.
The 17th-century Grapevine includes the Conservatory restaurant, La Vigna Brasserie and the Gigot Bar.
Dating back to the 10th century, the Royalist is believed to be the oldest inn in England and comprises the 947AD restaurant and the Eagle & Child gastropub.
