Travelodge seeks 10 new hotels in Hampshire

Budget group Travelodge intends to increase its presence in Hampshire with the opening of 10 new hotels.

The group, which already had 15 hotels in the country, is looking to open properties in Andover, Basingstoke, Christchurch, Fareham/Portsmouth, Fleet, Lymington, Petersfield, Portsmouth, Waterlooville and Winchester.

Tony O'Brien, Travelodge's UK development director said that Hampshire is one of the company's top performing counties in the UK.

"We are excited about the growth opportunities in Hampshire and hope to be able to announce more details soon about specific sites."

Travelodge said that the addition of 10 new hotels to Hampshire will create 150 new jobs in the region and boost the local economy by £11m annually.
