Three new Holiday Inn hotels signed in the UK

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced three new Holiday Inn hotels in the UK.

The properties are the Holiday Inn Huntingdon - Racecourse in Cambridgeshire, Holiday Inn Glasgow Green in Glasgow and Holiday Inn - Watford Junction in Hertfordshire.

The first of the three to open will be the Holiday Inn Huntingdon - Racecourse, a 98-room new build hotel, which will open at the end of 2013. It will operate under a franchise agreement with HP Hotels, which also owns Holiday Inn Express Nuneaton.

In 2014, a franchise agreement with Nine Hospitality will see Holiday Inn - Watford Junction open, followed by the launch of Holiday Inn Glasgow Green under franchise with VDL Management.

All three hotels will feature Holiday Inn's new open lobby concept, providing guests with an open area to relax, have a coffee or host an informal business meeting.

Richard Arman, IHG's development director UK & Ireland, said: "The Holiday Inn brand is an important driver of growth in the UK. These signings will help meet the demand for quality midscale accommodation for national and international travellers whilst building national scale in a priority market for us."
