The Summer Isles hotel appoints David Malcolm as head chef
The Summer Isles hotel at Achiltibuie in Wester Ross has appointed David Malcolm as head chef. He succeeds former Scottish Chef of the Year Chris Firth-Bernard who had been in charge of food at the hotel since 1986, gaining a Michelin star in the process. Malcolm, from Melbourne, Australia, was previously at the Michelin-starred Greenhouse restaurant in London's Mayfair.
